A Real Crew,
On The Way.
A garage door that won’t close is a security and safety problem, not just an inconvenience — and it never waits for business hours. TyGrig provides emergency garage door repair across the Chattanooga, TN area with fast same-day response, including evenings and weekends, for broken springs, snapped cables, off-track doors, and openers that quit. Call (423) 225-1844 and you’ll reach the people who actually show up.
The most common after-hours emergencies are a broken spring that leaves the door too heavy to lift, a snapped cable or off-track door stuck at an angle, or a door that won’t close and leaves your home wide open. If your door is stuck, don’t force it — that turns a repair into a replacement. Pull the manual release only if it’s safe, and call us.
We carry the common parts on the truck — springs, cables, rollers, opener gears — so most emergency calls are solved on the spot in a single visit, at one fair price quoted before we start. No call center, no waiting days for a slot: a real local crew, on the way.

How to Open a Garage Door During a Power Outage
Power out and your car’s stuck inside? Every opener has a manual release so you can open the door by hand — safely, in a few steps. (If the door is heavy or stuck, stop and call us — that’s a broken spring, not a power problem.)
Make sure the door is fully closed
Only pull the release when the door is down. Releasing a raised door can let it slam shut if a spring is broken — so leave a partly-open door alone and call us.
Find the emergency release cord
Look up at the trolley running along the ceiling rail. The release is a red rope with a handle hanging from it.
Pull the red cord
Pull it straight down (and slightly toward the door) to disconnect the door from the opener carriage. You’ll feel it unlatch.
Lift the door by hand
Lift straight up with both hands until it’s fully open. If it won’t budge or feels extremely heavy, stop — you likely have a broken spring. Don’t force it; call TyGrig at (423) 225-1844.
Re-engage when power returns
Pull the cord back toward the door, then run the opener once. The trolley re-latches to the carriage automatically and you’re back to normal.
